I follow a nutrition program where you have specific nutrient goal for grams of protein, fat and carbs...otherwise known as macros or tracking your macros. This is harder than just tracking your calories, it requires an additional step of planning to meet a more specific macro goal. I want to help people through this process by offering tips and tricks for how to be successful to meet your macro targets each day. I will offer recipes, meal ideas and samples of how I plan my week. Every recipe will include a breakdown of macros as well as additional information on how it can be modified for higher carb, lower carb, higher fat or lower fat so it can easily fit into your plan. This is about accountability and consistency, to be successful you need to be prepared to plan ahead and I can help people through this process. I am not a professional chef, rather I am someone that has gone through this process myself and I understand how difficult it can be to plan a meal, day or recipe to make it fit into your day. It's about making this a lifestyle and keeping it simple so that this can be functional and work for the everyday person trying to lose fat or build lean muscle. Recipes aren’t going to have a lot of steps, it’s not about a fancy recipes, it’s about something that’s practical.

Things my blog site will focus on:

*Macros - this is the number one focus - everything I share will be about how to track your macros and recipes will always have a full macro breakdown with ideas for how to adjust (higher carb, lower carb, higher fat, lower fat) them to fit your macro plan

*Fat loss and building lean muscle - following a strict macro plan helps with these goals

*Balance - sometimes you want to splurge. How to plan around a special treat or make it a lighter version so you can still enjoy eating while staying on plan

*High Protein meals and snacks

*Quick meals

*Simple swaps - taking a favorite recipe and modifying to make it higher protein and healthier to make it fit into a macro plan

*Carbs - Saying YES to carbs - I do not believe that a low carb or no carb lifestyle is healthy, I believe in eating for performance and health. Your body needs carbs, fat and protein to be at its best.

Things my blog will NOT focus on:
*Keto - Carbs are not the enemy, you need them to function

*Low calorie - your body needs fuel to function, this is not a low calorie lifestyle. In fact, it’s about eating more food and still seeing progress!

*Pretty pictures and long stories for a recipe - I will get to the point, I am not trying to be another food blog that posts 15 pictures for a recipe with a perfectly staged photo. This will be about real food from a real person living this lifestyle

*Dairy free - I love cheese and all dairy

*Vegan/Vegetarian - while I will have some recipes that fit this, this is not my focus or niche
