Ashwood Legal

I own an estate planning law firm in northern Virginia. Eventually I'll be licensed in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, and DC. I am the only attorney in the firm - we are really small (I have one employee) but we plan on expanding. You can visit the website - to find out more about my firm. More info about me can be found in my bio here: We specialize in: - Estate Planning (wills, trusts, powers of attorney, medical powers of attorney) - Elder Law/Medicaid Planning - Probate (the court process after you pass away) - Guardianships (incapacitated adults) Family is important to us - we help folks protect their families by helping them keep more of what they've worked their whole lives for. We are a law firm built on relationships. We don't see clients as transactions, but as part of our family. We want our relationship with our clients to be one that lasts for a very long time - that we're the first name they think of when they need a lawyer. Virginia Rule of Professional Conduct 7.1 Comment 5 must be followed: "[5] A firm may be designated by the names of all or some of its members, by the names of deceased members where there has been a continuing succession in the firm’s identity or by a trade name such as the “ABC Legal Clinic.” A lawyer or law firm may also be designated by a distinctive website address or comparable professional designation. Although the United States Supreme Court has held that legislation may prohibit the use of trade names in professional practice, use of such names in law practice is acceptable so long as it is not misleading. If a private firm uses a trade name such as “clinic” that also includes a geographical name such as “Springfield Legal Clinic,” an express disclaimer that it is not a public legal aid agency may be required to avoid a misleading implication." Any submissions not following this rule will be disqualified.

We are a medical technology company focused on marketing and consultation tools used in Plastic Surgery, Dermatology, and Medspas. The original company name is Aestheia LLC., derived from our industry Aesthetics and Theia, Greek Titaness of sight. The company has previously used trade names, SynMed Labs, TrueScan, Aestheia Imaging, Aestheia, and XTHEIA. We had three installments of the companies first product a hologram projection device for content and patient before and afters, these displays differ in size (small, medium, large). The product names were originally Xtheia, Xsculpt, and Xsoma. Current company website; Our customer target and investor targets are having trouble pronouncing the company name properly- therefore we are considering a final name change before our commercialization. Our original product was a hologram kiosk that displayed advertising content and patient before and after photos in 3D. We have since pivoted to take the focus away from the hologram kiosk sales and will be launching a B2B Ipad application for practitioners that can be paired with an Amazon Fire Stick application for streaming/casting to existing TVs. The Ipad app allows for aesthetic medicine providers to manage advertising and educational content and playlist, capture and manage patient before and after photos in 2D with an annotation toolbar, and in 3D via an IR sensor, as well as process patient intake forms. All content can be cast to existing TVs or in our hologram kiosk (again the hologram is no longer the focal point, the company is focused on a SAAS business model and download and usage of our iPad app.) We have recently gearing branding of the company toward the DBA of Xtheia with the app being referred to as Xthiea Go and the streaming casting app as Xtheia Stream. Even still we are suffering with brand identity due to pronunciation. The CEO is wanting to rebrand to an applicable, scalable, easy to comprehend catchy name that still carries sizzle.
